The smooth five pronged retractor attached to a shield-like elongated neck of this instrument is designed for the small, tight spaces associated with transcaruncular orbital surgery. This modification has a longer neck, allowing for retraction of thicker tissue or into a deeper space. It provides excellent exposure of the medial wall of the orbit while protecting and retracting the lacrimal sac and canalicular system, as well as offers optimal visualization of the lamina paprycea and ethmoidal air cells.
